About Us

Flight Planning

Our special flight planning software allows us to plan your flights with great precision. Our pilots can fly our planned tracks with a maximum 200 foot tolerance. Often times, however, they are accurate to within 50 feet of our plans. Talk about precision flying!

Below is an image showing our flight plans as they are plotted in Google Earth. Before a flight, we will send you these plans to verify that the flight tracks cover the planned photo areas.

All tracks are one half-mile wide. Each blue line indicates coverage 1/4 mile to either side of the line. The image below shows the actual flight track superimposed over the flight plans. This kind of accuracy to the original plans means that we don't miss any areas that were intended to be photographed or mapped. In any case, we plan our flights so the side-to-side image overlap is around 20%.
